Born in 1915 Leo has seen many changes in photography. He was given a 120 box camera and a few glass tubes of chemistry and a small printing frame. He joined the RCAF in 1940 and was attached to the photo sections on the east and west coasts doing aerial and ground photography. He ran his own studio in Quebec City for 12 years then moved to Vancouver and worked at UBC in the photo section of the Mech. Eng. Dept. Leo has used many types of cameras and his cheeky sense of humour is infectious. He retired in 1980 and is still busy with photography. His latest interest is now in digital photography! Who knows what else he will be up to soon! |
